Housing Assistance has established the Cape Cod COVID-19 Workforce Housing Relief Fund to provide urgent and ongoing assistance with past due rent or mortgage payments or other housing-related expenses for current, year-round Cape Cod and Island residents who are losing income due to the coronavirus.

The new Workforce Housing Relief Fund, which will serve households earning between 50% and 100% AMI with a RAFT-like approach that includes up to $5,000 per household in a combination of a one-time payment to cover rent or mortgage arrearage and then evenly distributed payments over several months to help a household stabilize. This fund will help our critical year-round workers who do not qualify for state and federal programs, but still cannot afford the high cost of housing in our region. Our goal is to have applications available by April 2 and to begin distributing funds in May.
